Currey Road footover bridge collapses: A Machine constructing a Foot-Over Bridge (FOB) fell on top on a local train that had halted at Mumbai’s Currey road station.
Currey Road footover bridge collapses: We have just entered in 2018 and Mumbai saw a huge protest today and it was declared Maharashtra bandh but as the day was passed Brihma Koregaon protest came to an end, but there was another buzz on social media that a foot over bridge in Curry road has collapsed.
The incident took place during the construction of the FOB when a portion of the piling fell onto the train. Fortunately, nobody was injured in the incident.
Train services on the Central Railway line, however, were affected for a while due to the incident.
This is another major mishap involving a Footover Bridge, months after 23 people were killed in a horrific stampede that took place at a bridge on Elphinstone Road Station on September 29, following which the government tasked the Indian Army with the construction of a bridge at the station.

However no causalities have been reported yet, there are two FOBs on the station and this incident occurred at the same location where army is going to construct the new FOB.
